  26. tjw1963 says:

@IvoryKohl Thank? you. Good to hear you found it again.

  27. IvoryKohl says:

I love this stitch. I used it for an ear warmer and scarf set? I made myself about a year ago, and forgot how in the world I did it or where I found how to do the stitch. So glad I found it again. I’m making an afghan this go round, maybe I’ll remember the stitch for good by the time I’m though.

  28. cafecrochet says:

Hey Theresa, I? want to make a shrug using that stitch but I don’t know how many I should chain.

  29. tjw1963 says:

@hotpinkjaguar? Yes you can use a size H crochet hook

  30. hotpinkjaguar says:

can? you use a size H hook?

  31. LooLoo7711 says:

Well, I guess its not really taller, but I made a scarf the other day and it curved in the center and made like a slight horse shoe. That was 150 dc scarf. And the baby blanket is 90 chains to start with and? if I lay it flat the outside edges curve up sorta. Not like really bad though.

  32. tjw1963 says:

@LooLoo7711 I am not sure? why it would be taller in the center unless you mistakenly worked extra stitches in the center.

  33. LooLoo7711 says:

I have tried this pattern out, looks good but its not straight across? when I lay it flat. Its like taller in the center but if I pull it flat its straight but it wont stay that way. What did I do wrong lol

  34. imawesome267 says:

Hallo? Teresa! Ich liebe und verehre Sie. Ich liebe es zu häkeln, und ich finde deine Videos sehr sehr hilfreich! Danke und Grüße – iamawesom3267:)

  35. tjw1963 says:

@miata06gal I am glad that you found? it!

  36. miata06gal says:

Thanks! I finally did find the double crochet section at? 14.00 in the video.

  37. tjw1963 says:

@miata06gal The photo instructions are shown in the? video at @14:00

  38. miata06gal says:

The photo shows the shells with a different stitch in between the shell rows.
It’s not the same as what is shown? in the video.
Do you have the pattern for the photo, not the one in the video?

  39. tjw1963 says:

@babygirlannea I appreciate? the comment, thank you.

  40. babygirlannea says:

Thank you so much for this pattern. I have learned so much from your videos. Im self Taught and there was alot i did not know. But you have showed me? the WORLD of Crochet. Thank you!…. Im making scarfs from this pattern as gifts. They are turning out great!!!!!

  41. stitchlady50 says:

this is a great video i am in the process of making a blanket? for my first grandchild

  42. tjw1963 says:

@Canthony12 I carry the rounded shells to the side? and blend it all in together. At the corners, you will need to work extra stitches so they do not tug and curl up.

  43. Canthony12 says:

Thank you so much! I wasn’t sure if there was a special? edging, or stitch that I would use… I love this pattern. :)

  44. tjw1963 says:

@Canthony12? When you get to the end, you will cut your yarn, pull the yarn through the stitch, give it a tug and sew in the tail.

  45. Canthony12 says:

Teresa, I have a question, how do you finish this afghan off? I am almost finished with this pattern, it’s for my baby nephew, and I am not sure how to finish it.? Could you help?

  46. tjw1963 says:

@SEG2107 I appreciate the comment, thank? you! Please share a video response of your blanket!

  47. SEG2107 says:

I have completed my first baby afghan using this pattern. :) Turn out so nice!!
Thank you, once? again! You must be a great person, good and kind soul! God bless you!

  48. tjw1963 says:

@BrazenHusssey You are? welcome! I appreciate the comment!

  49. BrazenHusssey says:

Thank you for making crocheting easy for someone that’s brain dead like me. For many years I tries to read patterns and have failed miserably. I have since learned I am audio/visual and if you tell me what to do and show me how? it’s done it sticks in my head. I have patients that are going to have their first baby and I am going to crochet them a blanket, thank you!!!

  50. tjw1963 says:

@cascadejacques You can use any size hook that fits with the yarn you are using. I recommend a size I-5-5mm — K-6.5mm or larger. The larger hooks will give your blanket/afghan a looser feel. If you want tighter stitches, use? a smaller crochet hook.
