in my area?? I live in the Antelope Valley in CA, and would love to spruce up my balcony with plants, with flowers that will do well in this harsh weather..

I can only plant my vegetable garden near a black walnut tree. Something in the tree make-up prevents certain plants from growing. Which ones do better than others. Thank you
There is sun but the drip line of the tree is close to the garden.

Our high school EAST class is planning to plant a butterfly garden. We need plants for the butterflies and caterpillars to eat and lay their eggs on. What plants attract them and which ones will suit the purposes stated in the previous sentence. (These are Arkansas-native butterflies, so please give AR plants) Thanks so much!

When I transplanted it, it was already brown and the branches were dead any advice to get it growing and alive, I’m in the process of making a butterfly garden and this bush will really complete the garden and make it look beautiful!!! and if you know of any other plants that attract a lot of butterflies let me know!

We have a huge herd of deer that live in our wooded neighborhood and every spring I have to work hard to keep them from eating my tulips. I LOVE to have the deer visit but I dont want them to eat my plants. Anyone know of a safe home remedy I can use to prevent this? I have tried human hair and it does help but it is a pain to do because the hair blows away, etc….. any other ideas?
LOL…….. you guys are funny. I DO hunt actually and love venison but unfortunantly there are A LOT of deer here and I am in city limits so I cant hunt or shoot a gun in city limits. PLus I kind of like the deer. Also I have tried buying deer feed. That just attracts more deer. Then they eat the feed AND the tulips.
