Question by Kathy A: Any recommendations for Vegetable Gardens in East Coast?
I have a raised bed, lots of sun, no deer and want some easy grow veggie ideas for a summer garden. We live in Connecticut. I’m thinking tomatoes, no zuchinni…need low maintainence, easy ideas. Thanks!

Corn. Plant a few seeds each week so you don’t it all at once.

As a beginner, I’ve had the easiest time (and highest yield) with herbs, cucumbers, mesclun, tomatoes and bell peppers.
tomatoes, carrots, radishes, any kind of squash, cucumber as long as you keep an eye out for slugs. you can put a trellice up for peas and beans or better yet plant them in a hanging basket and they will flow down. Strawberries.
