I want to take the Chia herb garden as a gift to my friend overseas but can I take seeds on a plane?

It depends on where you are going. You’d need to find out what the seeds are (what herbs) and then contact the agricultural department for the country you are going to and ask them if the seeds are allowed. Not all countries allow all plants.

its not the plane you have to worry about its taking it in to another country
many countries ban bringing in seeds and plant material.
check with the customs dept of the country you are going to
