This video inspired me to create a salad bowl and it’s been doing great. I harvest every 2 weeks or so because I like tender leaf salad. I have a nice bowl with lettuce and aragula. Very easy to grow in a self watering container. ?

Good job on the video. I like the idea of being able to keep the lettuce going for a long time. Mine? got bitter in July when they were too large. Do you re-plant in the summer as well?

Aside from the salad bowl, can’t she be responsible enough to wear reusable gardening gloves? instead of those disposable ones. You would think gardener’s would try to do what they can to save this beautiful planet.

  21. CaptKelp says:

Great idea — I have been growing tons of extra lettuces every year to give to friends and neighbors. Now I going to make up some bowels and give them instead. It is even better then my fresh picked gifts. They get to pick it fresh when they want it. It also? teaches them how it should be picked – one leaf at a time. NOT chopping and killing everything. Good video

  24. Pikachucute123ful says:

Wow thanks! I didn’t know? for sure if it was edible or not, i will try to make one of my own!

  25. cookingupastory says:

I wouldn’t try eating them in the bowl they’re grown in – but, yes!, eat the different greens as they mature. You don’t necessarily cut off the whole head (depends on variety you’re growing), but you can snip at the larger leaves on the outside. Wash, place in serving bowl, and add some other yummy stuff – or? eat plain! It looks beautiful *and* it’s edible! I thot they had a great idea all around. =)

  26. matt lockard says:

I still don’t understand how to actually? plant the seeds themselves. I’m trying to farm Moonglow, but I can’t seem to get them to plant, no matter what I try.
