getting rid of ants in my vegetable garden without chemicals?

Question by : getting rid of ants in my vegetable garden without chemicals?
My vegetable garden is full of ants. I have done the boiling water and still have ants. I just recently did the cornmeal and instant grits and was told not to water or I would be feeding the ants instead of trying to kill them. I have gone a full 24 hours and still have a lot of ant activity and need to water my plants. Don’t know what to do. Please help!
I am trying to keep my garden organic and don’t want to use “harmful chemicals” or anything that will alter the taste of the vegetables when washed into the ground.

I use Boric Acid, you can buy it from a drugstore and mix it with something sweet like jelly on a paper plate and leave it around where they will find it. It is non-toxic to humans and pets.

Without chemicals? Everything is a chemical, boric acid is a chemical, water is a chemical. Unless it is an element it is a chemical or chemical compound.

First of all ants in your garden is NOT necessarily a bad thing. Most ants, except for leaf cutters, prefer to eat small bugs and since you want to go organic why not let them do the bug killing for you?

I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you research organic gardening and educate yourself, just not using “harmful chemicals is NOT organic. Altering the taste is not even a concern of most gardeners none organic or organic. I have eaten vegetables straight out of all kinds of gardens and if grown properly with the right amount of water and sunlight and fertilizer of any kind, they all taste good.

Buy liquid organic vegetable soap, put in chopped chillies- (the chillier the smaller). Use this to spray on the ants.

    Hope this helps :)
