Back in the 90s, a size 10 was considered perfect. It is still considered a slim size, so why have you gone down the popular route of deciding you have to be the smallest size? Is there a point to it lol ?

A size 6 is so tiny, myself you should only drop one dress size. A toned size 8 looks fantastic and you will still keep your shape. Tone up alot and see how you feel then. Aim for one dress size and you will look great and keep your bust. I think any smaller and you can look gaunt, tired and under fed. Keep up the walking and maybe add a little different fitness programe. I am a size 10.I did lose weight last year and droped a dress size and all my family and friends( men and women said i had a better shape b 4 . x
The smallest size is size 0!
But in answer to your actual question! Well to lose weight you need to balance your calories in with calories out. In other words burn up excess calories consumed, stay away from sugar (as this is eventually stored as fat) Also white carbs, choose alternatives like brown wholegrain foods as these release energy slowly and help you remain fuller for longer. Drink plenty of water. Do aerobic exercise that involve the large muscle groups such as lower body, legs (these will help keep your heart rate elevated) running on a treadmill or stepper etc…Don’t forget that resistance training with weights also helps as you will build lean muscle and as muscle is more metabolically active that fat you will burn more calories at rest too!
Do remember to keep realistic as some of us are not made to be a size 6 and at 5’5″ you would be extremely thin at that. Keeping healthy is important too! Good Luck
