Be sure there’s a hole in the bottom of the pot or else you’ll drown them. Water generously when the soil is dry to touch or the foliage starts to droop. Excess water will run out the hole. When the flowers fade keep watering until the foliage browns. You will then have bulbs to plant (6 inches deep) in the garden. They will come back yearly-if the deer, squirrels, or chipmunks don’t get them-as long as you let the foliage build the bulb for the next year.
