Why do hydroponic plants always look so sad and weak? I’d hang the bottles the same way, but just? fill them with earth instead. Allot of plants don’t need a huge pot, 1L bottles work great.

I use a small window system, and use water from my fish tank to water them, the plants clean the water (use poo as fertilizer, they are all sitting on clean pebbles so no dirt gets in water) and I put the water? back in my fish tank, keeps it all nice and clean.

Funny – extension metal grilles above and below widows have been functioning as apartment window farms in India for decades, but then NYC? is a different place…. Rooftop rice farming from waste water. Basically for small independent homes – but can easily be adapted for apartments on a large scale.
