the scarf i made had ends that curled over (like a curly fry? if you can imagine)
how can i prevent that with the second scarf i make? is it because my stitches are uneven?

You will need at least two skeins of yarn to get a good sized scarf. Also when you get your yarn the first thing you need to is find both ends of the yarn. One will be from the inside and one will be from the outside. Use the end from the outside of the yarn and just start rolling it into a ball. Then after you do that it will be easier to work with. I? hope this helps and don’t be sorry I don’t mind answering your questions.

  20. Alibidancer929 says:

ok, sorry I am new at this, do you have any suggestions on how to ball the yarn, is there any videos or something I could learn it from? If not that’s okay!! thank you for your help. sorry to keep asking this but I’m going to get new yarn this weekend, can I do this whole scarf with 1 skein or do I need more? than that?

  21. bugaloospoodle says:

Oh, you mean his guts keep falling? out LOL! You should really always ball the yarn up before you start. Mine still gets all tangled up and I have to have the kids untangle it. I know how frustrating that can be. If you are now working with the yarn and yo don’t want to undo your work. Just find the other end and start to make a ball with that side of the yarn.

  22. Alibidancer929 says:

Okay so you only need one skein to complete the whole scarf? Its hard to explain; I guess just all my yarn is knotting, and I can’t pull anymore out to use it. Is there a way to ball the yarn so that it doesn’t do that?? Thank you!

  23. bugaloospoodle says:

Only use all three skeins if you want a really long scarf. But, you can also get three different colors and change colors at the end of each row for a different look. Hmmmm Knotting? Where exactly is the knotting happening, is it in just where you are holding the yarn? Or is it within the stitches? If in holding you just need to? be aware and fix the yarn from time to time, if it is in the stitches you are wrapping too tight. Let me know okay.

  24. Alibidancer929 says:

Hi, this looks like it will be easy to follow along with! do you use all 3 skeins of yarn for the one scarf? also? how do you keep your yarn from knotting? I had a really hard time with this and it ruined my whole scarf :(

  25. bugaloospoodle says:

What a fantastic complement you? just gave me. Thank you and I am so happy you were able to get your scarf done.
