Okay, only a handful of designers are allowed to say their stuff is couture, and usually, the stuff they make are one of a kind hand made pieces. And they ONLY MAKE ONE. They don’t get cheap, because they’re custom made. And high fashion couture is NOT made for streetwear. It’s not possible unless you’re loaded, like Paris Hilton, or something.

  2. Hollister_Girl says:

Well, look in vogue, glamour, harper’s bazaar, etc. for idea. But couture is very crazy, almost unwearable, especially for the street. And because it’s couture, only a few are made, so it’s very hard to get and they use amazng materials, so they’re hard to re-ceate, so you won’t find many knockoffs. I wish you luck, though!

LOL…I really don’t think A&F or Hollister has haute couture!!

Yeah, wake up and welcome to the real world. You can’t afford high fashion, there is a sale at Wal-Mart though.

This may not be the help you are looking for as I don’t live in Chicago, so I can’t name any little boutiques or anything. But I have been there and I know they have all the high end stores we have here on the East Coast. Anyway, something I usually do to keep the costs down is buy a few high fashion staples then dress then with “cheaper” still high fashion tops and accessories.

For example, if you have 200$ citizen of humanity jeans, and a fashionable top from forever 21… no one is ever going to think that top was 12 bucks. But seriously.. between 400$ bags and 200$ jeans.. I can’t afford the 100 top. Plus jeans (besides the sudden skinny / wide trend) usually are wearable from season to season. So if you buy a few trendy tops / shoes for the current trend then you are good to go.

Unless your loaded, your talking about spending thousands on clothes. Maybe you mean more trendy high fashion clothes. If that is the case, I would suggest always buying good shoes and bags. You can mix trendy less expensive pieces with great shoes & bags and look very put together. Also, never skimp on a cheap belt. If you need one, get a nice one.

first i would suggest you get a life….or possibly get over yourself

I’m assuming you mean that you want more high end designer clothing. I would say go to a high end department store in your area, (I think there is a Barneys in Chicago).

Before you say you want to wear couture, you might want to take a look at some:

high fashion couture=high prices…theres no way around it but u can try shopping in boutiques and places that no one really goes to….thats where u can find really cute stuff that is different from what people u know are wearing…but if ur willing to pay the price just go to new york or paris lol
