I am constructing a garden at my church and right now all there is is grass on the area. I need to dig up the grass and mix it around and maybe put more soil down. But what I am asking is how much grass should I dig. Like how deep or something. Please help. And if you have any other general tips they are welcome
I would find someone that has a rototiller or can rent one…..it will allow it to go down about 4 to 5 inches and work the ground to make it better for planting…..if the soil needs more top soil or additives you can work that in. Big lumps in the soil make it hard for the plants to grown. Rototillers are the easiest and similiar to a lawnmower with blades.
