Question by Soy Flanders: Me and my brother are attempting to grow an herb garden for winter in our area HELP!?
I live in Wonder Valley, CA somewhere near Sanger and Kingsburg and Fresno (and Miramonte, and Dunlap) and I need all the herbs that you know of that will and can tough out a winter up here…help me out please! Thanks so much.

It looks like most anything would if it had a cover at night. glass or plastic tacked on wooden frames. or just a sheet thrown on when you know it will be freezing.

when you know your climate then you can know your zone:

i particularly recommend green sweet garden peas for growing in the winter. the best kind i found is “early perfection”.
