Question by Fauna: Any ideas on how to get motivated to do my fall clean up in my herb garden?
I seem to have no desire to get out there and work. It’s warm enough here to get out frequently in the winter months, but I can’t get going.

July 2010 – This house is now for sale and it looks awesome ! Back in 1998 i visied this hous and from the inside it looked totaly different , ive made some shots and it was a strange feeling for me to be there…….. ——————————————————————————- Marilyn purchased the home for under 0,00 from the Pagen family who had outgrown it. She began living in the home in March 1962 while the home was extensively renovated. Wearing a green gardening hat, Marilyn planted an herb garden & a variety of flowering plants. Tiles on the doorstep bore the Latin inscription “Cursum Perficio” translating to “My journey ends here.” ( placed by its oweners )

Question by : How close to the woods can a vegetable/herb garden go?
I’m thinking about expanding near the wood line. I’m already about 8 feet away from it. Thing is it’s on the East, after that it’s all clear. So I figure, even if I was closer to the wood line, The plants would still get the same amount of sun.
I guess the biggest concern is roots, but I could just wack those out.

If deer and sunlight are not a problem you can always raise the beds a bit to help keep the tree root invasion to a minimum.
