this is really easy to do! Get a good potting soil. I mix my soil with moss.
This is how I set up the pots.

Marbles, small rocks, (not too small or they go through the holes in the pot) to help with draining in the bottom of the pot.

Soil

Seed/ ready grown plant

lightly watered(don’t drown it)

sunny window

I’ve done this simple method for years and it works for me.

    There are very compact hydroponics systems available that include a grow light so that you can grow your herbs right on your kitchen counter! I saw one of these set up in a local indoor grow store, but I’m sure they have them in grow stores near you. Check http://www.growstorefinder.com to find a local grow store and ask them for advice.
