I’ve looked at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop. Are there any other places that would have a better selection.

Why dont you hunt with a camera? Killing animals for fun and sport is sick.

I am going to give you a litany of links at the bottom. There are a whole lotta resources out there to buy stuff that actually fits women.
Field and Stream in the July issue has one hell of a story discussing The American Huntress. Check it out, you will find it useful.
Some of the resources they identify are below:
http://www.shesafari.com – They got 53 styles of field wear in seven different patterns that were created by the input from 27 female staffers that also hunt.
http://www.basspro.com – The Redhead line has a decent selection with 18 styles.
http://www.cabelas.com – 12 different styles including quick dry tops.
http://www.gandermountain.com – Check out the Guide Series for women, 16 styles.
http://www.foxyhuntress.com – Another one where a woman was tired of the insignificant offering and started her own line. She is up to 18 styles now.
http://www.mossyoakapparel.com – The least amount to choose from with only 4 styles, but some really like the Mossy Oak breakup camo pattern.
Also, I would recommend taking a look at F&S’s website as they may be able to give you even more info. http://www.fieldandstream.com/women
Hey, best of luck to you! It is about time we had some real competition. It’s getting kind of dull just talking about the latest kill, debating the best beer, making up lies, and farting.
Thanks for bringing some class to our functions…..
Cheers!

Are you looking for camo or blaze orange? If camo, I would suggest going to Walmart for your clothing. You can get fancy gear at the other places and it seems there is no price range to the crap you can buy. What has worked for me over the years is a $ 20 pair of camo coveralls, and a $ 10 camo shirt from Walmart. With hat and gloves, etc, I think I spent less than $ 50. Fifty dollars is half of what some ‘scent blocker’ outfits cost. Use the Scent Killer brand spray and UV wash on your clothes and you’ll be almost undectecable in the woods. Scent killer and UV wash will work for blaze orange clothing too. There’s absolutely no reason to spend a fortune on clothes. But a rule of thumb on purchasing any clothing is rubbing it together, or a finger across it to see what kind (if any) sound it makes. Going through the woods (across fences, etc) can be a task when you’re trying to be quiet.
It’s so good to see more women hunting out there! I’m a single mom and my daughter and I do a great deal of hunting throughout the year–bow, muzzleloader, rifle, atlatl. We’ve tried both Cabelas, Bass Pro, Dicks, and lots of local farm stores. We had no luck here in PA. So, we sew our own clothes because its cheaper, or modify men’s clothes because we are both very tall. Depending on where you live, if you aren’t able to find a good selection, maybe we could help you out by making something custom for you–or any other woman, for that matter. We have sewn clothes for women in wheelchairs who want to hunt, Mennonite women who want to hunt but feel the need to wear dresses to the field, and Medieval reinactors who want to wear corsets to the field–one even with impact pads sewn into the shoulders for a 30-.06. We have had a lot of fun meeting new people over the years. I just do it for fun–as a side job. Good luck out there!
