    only if that head scarf does not violate the dress code if there is one (i’m not aware of any public schools that do have one, but if there was one religion shouldn’t give you a pass).

    besides, muslims wearing headscarves provide us with the benefit of knowing who might be carrying explosives.

    IMHO, yes, it is a matter of personal freedom. But the Bukhra should be outlawed as it prevents identification.

    Yes. I think it is appropriate that public schools allow the display of anything that pertains to a person’s religion UNLESS it interferes with the operation of the school or presents such a distraction that other students would be affected.

    it is disgusting that for eg. i can not wear a hat or anything of that nature but someone can wear full headscarfs just because they say its their religion! wat if wearin a hat was my religion!?!? people are far too afraid to offend that they can do what they want!!

    and in a public school! not even a religious school! disgraceful.
