It’s a boxed in area..actually there are two. I just took 2 wheelbarrels full of cat poop out and am now ready to plant my vegetable garden.

Someone suggested wet newspaper surrounding each plant..but my cats are pretty smart. They might just think I’ve provided them something to read while they do their business.

I’m leaning more towards some kind of chicken wire structure that has a removable top to allow for the plant growth.

Any detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated

Answer by cuddles
moth balls work great

Question by furthermore_82: How to prevent cats from urinating on vegetable garden?
I just created a small vegetable garden on my property. I looked outside the other day by chance and noticed one of the neighbourhood cats had entered the garden and urinated on some of the tomato plants. I don’t want to be eating these vegetables that have been soaked or “flavoured” with cat urine. Any ideas on how to keep them out?

Best answer:

Answer by BriarKat
Ask your neighbors to keep them inside their homes. Cats belong inside! They ruin property and kill native wildlife and are a nuisance (not their fault though!)
