			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i live in CA and the weather is pretty moderate and consistent all year long. i want to start my garden ASAP and i want to make my own raised bed out of wood and cedar blocks. any tips on which veggies flourish in summer? i have an area picked out in my backyard and it is full sun. my box is going to be small so i dont have room for corn or large veggies. any suggestions would be great!</p>

<p>Grass is only on the South, East and West of the house and does not get much sun due to tall oak trees.<br />
Grass has lots of weed: d-lions and clovers.</p>

<p>Also, how deep and far apart in the ground do I plant the bulbs?  I really want this to work out as none of my gardens have ever grown! Please help, I really love tulips and I want to succeed at this so bad!<br />
Also, how often should I water them?  Are they good in direct sun?</p>

these tulips were outside in their pots and the week ahead shows temps in the 60&#8242;s and 70&#8242;s during the day and no freezing temps at night so far. I am going to plant them and the driveway gets full sun so I am hoping for the best.<br />
