    I like to have:

    Basil
    Rosemary
    Parsley
    Mint

Those are what I use in most of my cooking. But don’t be afraid to try other types too! Like oregano, thyme, and tarragon.

Parsley (biennial, so plant every 2 years) is the very top of the must have list. I always plant curly and flat-leaf since the flat leaf is a slightly stronger taste for cooking and use the curly for raw.

The perennial herbs that I have include: chives, thyme, sage and oregano. There are numerous varieties and so plant more than one of each if you have the room.

Basil is an annual herb, but I always plant sweet and purple basil.

    Enjoy your new herb garden!
