Hi:
There are two ways you can basically plant an herb garden. One is outside in the ground, and the other is outside or inside in a container garden. You can also start herbs from seeds. They are easy to grow and the key to growing them is purchasing a light weight potting soil. Add some vermiculite and some humus to the soil. Add hot water to the soil mixture, as this will help the roots become established. The seeds will turn into plugs.(small plants)

If you are doing an outside garden, the biggest goal for any garden, is to properly plan – prep and plant. I will link you to the plan – prep – plant page, as this is an easy method to follow.

You have the choice with herbs. You can grow just a culinary garden, which these herbs are great for cooking. Some of the basic herbs are basil, rosemary, chives, parsley, oregano. thyme, and sage.
