You can see if friends want them (but asking for money from people I love is hard for me personally) see if any local clothing stores will sell them (ask if they sell hand made items from local artists). I’d bring in a selection of your best to show them what you have to offer. You can try to sell on Craigslist as well as Ebay, where as you are selling them yourself, you are more likely to get more out of it. You can sell them at local arts and crafts shows. A lot of antique stores are also antiques and crafts so you can see what you can do there. Basically, it’s going to require a lot of time and foot work because you have to sell these and the idea to them. They need to feel that it’s going to be worth their time and they will make a bit of a profit if you go through another retailer/store, unless they are used to working with locals and have a policy to do it fairly. The problem with selling your own scarfs, the time and effort put into it is hardly recompensed. More then likely you will get practically the same amount you put out for the material yourself. I can see making a profit if you buy everything you use (if you don’t grow/plant, etc your own) at reduced prices. But I do hope you can find a way to do what you want with them and it be worth your while. you never know, right?
Usually self-promotion is best…
Try wearing couple (in different days) and see if people compliment you on them… if they do – tell them that you are making them and offer to sell
Ebay is another good online sourse…
