I just watched The Botany of Desire, and I’m interested in purchasing a few tulips for my garden. But I have never purchased them before. I’m wondering if anyone can suggest a place online that I can purchase good quality tulips from a reputable seller? Thanks!

We’ve always had good luck with Breck’s. Their bulbs are always wonderful. They are not the cheapest but you do get great quality. Their grab bags are a great way to get a lot of bulbs for less money unless there is something specific that you want, such as a variety or a specific color.
And give your new bulbs a shot of bulb booster fertilizer when you plant them. That will help them get off to a great start. You will get some flowers the first year after you plant but the next year will be much better. Regardless of when you order, Breck’s will not ship them until fall planting time in your area.
