Question by Your Love Is One In A Million It goes On: Why do Muslims have to wear those scarfs on their heads?
I’ve heard that the hair on a muslim is only meant for the husband to see. Though I’ve heard this from other people, but I’m sure they would have some pretty hair. I know this is a retarded question, but I’m just curious to know. And then the men have to wear these long white coats and this hat, and you can barely see anything on them. Does anyone know why that is?

Muslims should always guard their moral character and chastity. Women do this by covering all parts of their body except the face, hands, and feet. This mode of dress makes her aware of the values she holds and reminds her not to get caught up in activities that can harm her character. Men are required to cover everything between the navel and the knees, but they, too, must behave in such a way as to protect their morals.
Nope sorry. but not all Muslims wear scarfs on their heads. my Buddy is a Muslim but he doesn’t wear and so do with the rest of his family. just only his mother will wear a scarf when she wants to see on cam when we talk with each other. and all his friends and families never wear scarfs too. maybe i could say, only those die-hard Muslims do wear scarfs just like an athlete who was banned to compete in sports when that person was wearing a bandana on the head to show his/her pride as a Muslim.

Part of the reason aside for the one you mention is that they are actually protected from the heat in the Middle East and stay cool in those cloths. Its why the men wear flowing gowns and burnooses as well.
Also it is a cultural thing that looks a little strange to us but hay, again I have been asked by some of them why in the heat and cold of North America do the westerners wear tight uncomfortable jeans and those big, ugly inverted toilet bowls on their heads they call stetsons.
