Will ladybugs hurt my indoor herb garden?

Question by Miss Rabbit: Will ladybugs hurt my indoor herb garden?
I grow indoor herbs, Oregano, Basil, Chives and Rosemary. While we don’t mind ladybugs in our home, I was wondering if they will either eat, or harm my plants?

actually, ladybugs eat the insects that feed off your plants.

    Oh no, they are your friend. They eat aphids and other bugs not plants.

    Absolutely not! Ladybugs eat aphids and other soft bodied pests. There probably would not be aphids on your herbs to sustain a ladybug, it sure wont hurt a thing.
